SMS Flight Information Service |
Real-time flight information direct to your mobile.
This simple to use service means that flight information can be
delivered direct to your mobile phone or a PDA with a SIM card installed.
The total cost for receiving the specified flight information should
not exceed £1.00.
How to Use:
Send the message “FLIGHT” followed by the flight number
to 83236.E.G. For flight ABC1234 send “FLIGHT ABC1234”
Note the space before the flight number. Ensure the flight is scheduled
to arrive or depart 2 hours before and 12 hours after you send the
message.
To receive messages, ensure your phone is turned on, you have a
signal and there is space on your phone for further messages
Check the confirmation message to ensure you have registered for
the correct flight on the correct date. To cancel a request send
“FLIGHT CANCEL” to 83236. Any messages
queued to be sent will be charged for. We will send you up to 5
messages for arriving flights and up to 4 for departing flights
each providing key information to help you use Manchester Airport.

All
messages will include details of the terminal and scheduled
information. |
You may receive fewer than the total possible messages. If, for
example, you only subscribe to receive information after a flight
has landed then you will receive an initial confirmation stating
the flight has landed and the next 'Bags are in baggage hall message'
and you will only be charged for these messages. Individual messages
cost 25p up to a maximum charge of £1.00. Networks supported
in the UK by Manchester Airport's SMS service are Orange, T-Mobile,
Vodafone and contract O2 networks. |
